1. Can I specialize the meals I want each week?

If you are interested in purchasing specialized meals, including gluten-free or vegetarian options, contact Chef Katie. Minimum order three meals per week.

2. Do you prepare children’s meals?

Each Dinner to Go will serve two children. Chef Katie will be happy to create custom children’s meals when purchased with pre-ordered adult meals, minimum three meals per week, per person.

3. Do the meals come fresh or frozen?

The meals are either ready to reheat and eat or ready-to-eat. There will also be a limited supply of freshly prepared, frozen options available at Taste.

4. How many people does one meal serve?

Meals are prepared for a single adult serving.

5. What is the deadline if I want to pre-order meals for next week?

Friday at 5:00 p.m. for pick-up Tuesday-Sunday the following week.

6. Do I need to have an account for pre-ordering meals?

No. Taste uses PayPal for processing all major credit and debit cards. If you don’t have a PayPal account, your order can be processed as a guest.

7. I tried to order online and was not successful. What should I do?

Send Chef Katie an email via “contact us” with your order and what day you will pick it up. Chef Katie will send you a confirmation email. Be sure to bring your confirmation with you to Taste when you pick up your food to ensure you get the online discount.

8. What days and times can I pick up my order?

When you order online you will be asked to select a specific day.
Tuesday-Friday: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: Noon – 4:00 p.m.

9. I’ve pre-ordered meals for the week to pick-up and was delayed at work. When can I pick them up?

Taste will hold your meals until closing time the day after your scheduled pick-up date. If you miss that pick-up, your meal will be frozen and available for you to pick-up within a week. However, due to the perishable nature of some of the meal components, be aware that not all meals will freeze well.

10. What happens to pick-up in inclement weather?

If the store is not open for pre-order pick up, Chef Katie will email you to schedule an alternate pick-up day.

11. How long can I keep a Dinner to Go in the refrigerator?

Each dinner will include refrigerator storage dates, generally four-to-five days. For longer storage, freeze the meals. However, due to the perishable nature of some meal components, not all meals will freeze well.

12. How long can I keep cold and hot Happy Hour to Go boxes in the refrigerator?

For optimal quality, hot appetizers can be kept in the refrigerator for two days; cold appetizers for four days. For optimal quality, do not freeze appetizers.

13. How do I reheat a frozen meal?

Conventional Oven–take the meal out of the freezer and place it in the refrigerator the day before you plan to eat it. Follow reheating instructions on the label.
Microwave Oven–remove the lid, cover with wrap and defrost. Then, follow reheating instructions on the label.

14. Are the containers and lids dishwasher safe?

No, hand wash only.

16. Can I order a gift certificate?

Order online and a gift certificate in a PDF format will be emailed to you for printing. After printing, you can personalize with the recipient’s name and a short message. Gift certificates can also be purchased at Taste.

17. How far in advance do I need to schedule a catered event?

Most catered events can be scheduled with two weeks notice.
