Meet Chef Katie Gilman

Chef/Owner Katie Gilman started Taste in February 2013 to bring her culinary vision to the Washington, D.C., area. Chef Katie believes in using seasonal ingredients and inventive recipes to put a new twist on familiar foods and to create new tasting experiences. Most recently, Chef Katie was a personal chef creating specialized menus, including lower-calorie, gluten-free or vegetarian options and preparing meals that are ready to reheat.
Chef Katie, who was raised and lives in Arlington, Va., graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Washington. Prior to opening Taste, she was a professional banquet cook at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View hotel where she developed unique recipes for elegant events and business meetings.
